In the Vanishing Forest...

Reggie was trying to find food in the forest canopies that he knew so well when something seemed... Off... He heard voices down below him and decided to peer down through the leaves to get a better look.

[Washington]

Down below the trees, there stood an absol and a zangoose, arguing among each other.

"They could be anywhere!" exclaimed the zangoose.

"No, they are definitely up north," replied the absol, much more calmly.

Reggie, not seeing the pokemon as an immediate threat, flew down and made himself known.

[Washington]

The zangoose seemed startled by the sudden appearance of the large flying pokemon.

The absol remained composed, but annoyed.

"You'd better get out of here!" barked the zangoose.

"Hey, I'm not hurting anybody. I heard you're looking for somone?"

[Washington]

"None of your business!" shouted the zangoose.

The absol followed up, "We're looking for someone who's right now on another part of the continent."

Seeing as how Reggie didn't have anything to do, and he didn't live with anyone, he decided to ask to come along.

"Maybe you could use some help finding them!" Talking to the Absol, ignoring the Zangoose because of the sour attitude. "I'm Reggie by the way."

[Washington]

"No," replied the absol, rigidly, "we needn't any assistance."

The zangoose took an offensive stance and began to glare at Reggie.

Reggie didn't like to fight, but could hold his ground if he needed to. He got in a ready stance for whatever the Zangoose tried to pull.

[Washington]

The zangoose shouted at the tropius, "Don't you listen? You're not wanted here!"

The absol stepped forward, and spoke calmly, "Please excuse my friend's aggression. He is quick to allow his emotions to consume him."

The zangoose began glaring at the absol.

The dark type went on, "But we shan't be needing any assistance, and we'd appreciate it if you'd be on your way."

Reggie relaxed. He understood he wasn't welcome and turned to walk away.

[Washington]

As the tropius began to leave, all three pokemon froze as a booming voice bellowed at them.

"Umbra!"

The absol's head shot to the left. A purugly emerged from the bushes. It appeared furious.

"You're going to pay for what you've done!" shouted the purugly.

The zangoose and absol readied themselves in an offensive stance.

"Felling three cats in one year?" said the absol, "But a novice's work!"

Reggie steps back, but continues to observe, ready to step in.

[Washington]

The purugly leaped forward, using slash at the absol. The absol reacted and sidestepped the attack. The dark pokemon then retaliated with night slash, successfully striking the purugly.

The zangoose then grabbed the cringing purugly, and raised her above his head. He hurled the cat pokemon at the tropius.

Reggie was far too big to dodge the Purugly, so he guarded himself with his wings. The Purugly was rather large however, so Reggie and the cat stumbled back a bit. Once Reggie recovered he yelled to the Zangoose "What was that for!?"

The Zangoose didn't have time to respond as the cat lunged at them again.

[Washington]

The purugly pounced on the absol again. The dark type was not so lucky to evade this time - he was sent into the ground under her weight. She began to use fury swipes, striking at the absol's face.

"Filch! Filch! Get this thing off me!" cried out the absol.

The zangoose threw himself at the purugly in a body slam attack. He managed to sweep the cat pokemon away from the absol. The two of them ended up crashing into a tree. The purugly pulled to her feet. She had taken quite a beating, and was breathing heavily. But nonetheless, all three pokemon had plenty of fight left in them.

Reggie decided he had enough of the pokemon fighting, and stepped in between them to stop them. "Enough is enough guys." He said, trying not to sound timid.

[Washington]

The purugly snapped at Reggie, "Stay out of this, airwalker! You have no place here! Those pokemon are assassins, and they killed my sisters!"

Reggie looked at them. Is this true?

[Washington]

The zangoose shouted at Reggie, "Oh, she's telling the truth, but you still have no idea who you're dealing with."

Reggie, not knowing what to do or who to trust steps back and watches.

[Washington]

The absol exclaimed, "I've had just about enough of this. This is your last chance, cat. Flee now, or we will send you to the gods."

The purugly hesitated. She had taken a beating already, and the assassins seemed more than capable of handling her. She began to grow worried.

The zangoose chimed in, "You and the flying tree must not have much to live for."

Reggie had made up his mind. He started flying high up in the air, getting ready to divebomb the two pokemon.

[Washington]

The absol and zangoose looked up as the tropius began to attack. The zangoose stood his ground and prepared an attack in retaliation. The absol, much more tactically aware, fled from the impending landing site.

The tropius crashed down, putting the much smaller zangoose into the ground.

As the absol had leaped away, the purugly seized the opportunity and pounced on him. She used a slash attack, catching him off guard. As the absol cringed, the purugly put her weight on him and began to use fury swipes again.

Reggie stood up, saw that the Purugly had the Absol covered. He looked down and saw the Zangoose under him starting to get up. Reggie tried to stomp on him.
