Amber's beginnings

[Dead PhoenixFX]

-Amber awakens in a dark, cramped and moist place. She tries to move around to find the walls to be quite thin and feeble. She pushes against the wall, she feels it slowly giving way. She makes one huge push and she's managed to push herself out. At first she is blinded by the sudden lightness of the world outside her egg. She looks around to find herself alone and is confused about what's happening-

"Momma...?"

-she finds her self saying without any idea what a 'Momma' is but she feels that it is important and feels rather lonely. Because of this she sets out to find her 'Momma'. whatever that is.-

[Washington]

An ampharos, walking by, noticed the little bug pokemon out in the open, unattended. The ampharos pondered, and corroborated that such a pokemon probably better belongs in a swarm. She approached the young hatchling.

"What are you doing out all by yourself?"

[Dead PhoenixFX]

-She is started by this strange creature she has never seen before. What did it want and is it dangerous, these thoughts crossed her mind-

"Eep!"

-She beings to scurry off as fast as she could-

[Washington]

The ampharos looked concerned. She did not want to frighten the creature.

"Wait - I'm not going to hurt you!"

[Dead PhoenixFX]

-She stops at the edge of the mountain, below was only the wastes and between in a 50ft drop.

-She quivers in fear- "S-st-stay a-away!"

[Washington]

The ampharos took a few slight steps forward, and then sat down on the ground.

She spoke soothingly and sympathetically, "I'm friendly. You don't need to run away from me."

[Dead PhoenixFX]

-She is nervous, she moves back slightly and feels some small rocks slip away and fall down, she inches forward again-

"H-how do I know I can trust you...?"

[Washington]

"My name is Ectra. I live very far from here, but I can help you. I noticed you out here all by yourself. I can find food for you."

[Dead PhoenixFX]

-Her stomach grumbles. She edges forward slowly"

-She blushes- [mumbles] "I guess food is fine..."

[Washington]

Ectra smiled. She stood up, and gestured for Amber to follow her.

"Come with me. There are some berry trees this way."

[Dead PhoenixFX]

-She is still scared but she is even more scared of being left alone, with that in mind, she slowly starts to follow Ectra-

[Washington]

Ectra carried on walking, and glanced back to make sure the young larvesta was following.

"What's your name, young one?" she asked.

[Dead PhoenixFX]

-She thinks about it, she never received a name, so under these circumstances she had to name herself-

"My name? It's...uh...Amber? Yes! My name is Amber"

-She is quite happy with her name-

[Washington]

"Do you have any family, Amber?"

[Dead PhoenixFX]

-She feels she understands the word but at the same time it leaves her confused-

"Family?"

-something else she didn't know what it was but had a deep meaning to her deep down-

[Washington]

"Oh my..." Ectra said under her breath.

"You know," she said aloud to Amber, "other pokemon who look like you. Do you know any like that?"

[Dead PhoenixFX]

-She shakes her head-

"This is my first time seeing things, before I was just a in a small, dark place but I managed to escape"

[Washington]

Ectra seemed surprised.

"My! You just hatched. You're new to the world."

She began to feel sorry for Amber, realizing that the newborn pokemon had been orphaned.

[Dead PhoenixFX]

-Nods in agreement-

"Where am I anyway?"

[Washington]

"This is Gandala. And right now, we're in the Great Gandala Mountains."

Ectra looked ahead and saw several berry trees up on a fertile patch of ground. She began to hurry towards them.

"Hey, food!"

[Dead PhoenixFX]

-Her stomach grumbles loudly-

[she mumbles to herself] "yeah, yeah, I know..."

[Washington]

Ectra rushed forth, and began plucking berries from the trees.

"These are orans. And those are sitrus. Those over there... I don't know. But you'll like the sitrus."

[Dead PhoenixFX]

-nibbles on a sitrus berrys-

"Is this what food tastes like?!"

-she is enjoying the food-

[Washington]

Ectra watched in satisfaction as the little larvesta ate. She had mothered young ones in the past, and the sense of responsibility never really left her.

"So I suppose you don't have anywhere to live, do you?"

-she shakes her head while eating. she is enjoying her first meal ever-

"I guess..."
